Items We Do Not Accept
All materials donated to us must be
clean and in immediately reusable condition
requiring no repair.
MFTA does NOT accept any of the items listed below:
- Filing cabinets
- Scrap fabric (minimum length is 2yds)
- Toxic chemicals or lead based paint
- Clothing
- Beds or bedding
- Food
- Platforms
- Sofa beds
- Building materials that have
screws, nails or glue still attached
- Slabs of marble
- Uncrated glass
- Rusty or
broken furniture
Direct Donations
Through our Direct Donations system, we are able
to list many items that we are unable to take into the warehouse. The following items can be listed via Direct Donations.
- Pianos
- Large appliances (ex: stoves,
refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines)
- Photo enlargers
- Computers older than 4years
- Metal desks
- L-shaped desks
- Flats or large
set pieces
