Learn art projects that reuse materials to enhance your year-end performance.

 Evening Studio Workshops engage teachers in hands-on seasonal art projects that they can integrate into their own curriculum and use to inspire their students and themselves. Teachers can shop in our warehouse right after school and then make an art project in our adjoining studio under the guidance of a teaching artist. Projects are directly related to upcoming calendar topics in order to give teachers ideas for art integrated lessons, as well as art ideas for Math, Science, E.L.A., and Special Needs classes. These classes offer participants the chance to share creative ideas with others and the rare opportunity to make art in the MFTA studio using our wide variety of materials.

 

Thursdays, 5-7pm

 

Shopping appointments are available before the workshops from 1:30-5:00 PM

 

 Register at mfta.org with a credit card. Call 718-729-2165 or       e-mail education@mfta.nyc.gov to arrange the discount or to pay with a check. 

 

Workshop cost $18 per person.  Sign up for 3 classes and get a fourth class for FREE.
